Who Are We?

Voices@SMU is a unit that resides within Student Services Hub (SSH)

We assist & support students (regardless of gender) affected by bullying, harassment or discrimination - including cases of sexual harassment or sexual assault.

What Do We Do?

We are the central point of contact for students who have experienced bullying, harassment or discrimination and we seek to give students (both reporting and accused parties) a safe space to be heard.

Students can choose to either disclose an incident or file a formal report through the school.

Trained staff from Voices@SMU will also assist you in exploring your support and reporting options (both internally and externally) with regards to your case.

The team also works closely with other departments within SMU e.g. our professional counsellors (from Mrs Wong Kwok Leong Student Wellness Centre), in our efforts to support students.

Be A Student Advocate

What does a Student Advocate do?

The Student Advocates are student volunteers who work with the Voices@SMU team to brainstorm ideas and initiatives to enhance the University’s education and outreach efforts to provide a safe and supportive environment for all.

Join us if you would like to be a voice in helping to increase the awareness amongst your peers about these issues, and play a vital role in creating a more sensitive and respectful community on campus.
